  Project VITA has assembled members with separate roles. Cheryl Xu, a specialist in model crafting says: “The importance of model crafting is being efficient. Efficiency is speed and quality.” The model is growing quickly, adding details into the model efficiently. Chris Zhang (SIP) a physicist and an engineer adds: “Enthusiasm is a principal factor in this project, especially in a student group. Being pushed by instructors will not have any effect, but if we are willing to do it ourselves, we will move forward by ourselves.” 

VITA 项目的成员各司其职。模型制作专家许乐添说：”模型制作的重要性在于高效。效率就是速度和质量”。模型正在快速成长，有效地将细节添加到模型中。物理学家兼工程师张启正补充道： “热情是这个项目的主要因素，尤其是在学生群体中。被老师催促不会有任何效果，但如果我们愿意自己做，我们就会自己前进”。

As the model crafters work on the urbanized side of the model, environmentalist and naturalist, Cherie Xie adds natural elements onto the model. She says: “Greening is an indispensable part of the city, as the saying goes, ‘The green hills are the gold hills.’ Even with the advanced technology, keeping green is still important.” She researches environmental history but works on the model, planting trees and grass with detail. She adds: “When planting in real life or on the model, it is about patience and detail. Plants do not grow fast, rather slowly but with detail. It is the same as planting. Planting requires patience and detail.”

On the very side of the model stands the colossal mountains. Della Gong, VITA’s designer and ChengJing Li, VITA’s sculptor says: “The mountains represent the challenges faced on the path of growing.” The train of growth goes through the mountains. Elvis Zhang, VITA’s engineer was asked, “What is the most important thing when engineering?” Elvis replies: “Patience. Plans in engineering fail, and that is normal. It takes patience, rebuilding and retesting over and over until what we can call ‘perfect’.” VITA’s newspaper official, Emma Ma, constantly writes about VITA, publishing newspapers and posters. Together, this group of students build the city of “Mini world.”

Recently, Chris Zhang has been engineering the airport, working with Cherie Xie to green the environment around the airport. ChengJing Li has been working on the mountain, adding detail and color to make the mountain look natural.
