Looking back at the unforgettable year 2023, we have experienced many wonderful moments and listened to so many lectures, and now the year 2024 is approaching with great expectations. 1月7日晚19:00-20:00，清香大讲堂有幸邀请到了“清香古生物博物馆”创办人、自然科学科普工作者、北京尚古世界文化发展有限公司法人、总经理王宽老师为同学们分享他的成长励志故事。

In the evening of January 7, 19:00-20:00, THISDL Lecture had the honor of inviting Mr. Wang Kuan, the founder of “THISDL Fossil Museum “, natural science popularization worker, and the legal person and general manager of Beijing Shangguhui World Culture Development Co.

王宽，北京尚古世界文化发展有限公司法人、总经理，自然科学科普工作者。毕业于北京大学，现中石协古生物化石专委会副秘书长，中石协“化石鉴定与修复培训班”任课教师。“清香古生物博物馆”创办人。

作为化石爱好者，王宽自毕业来经历了三年大学的工作之后，选择了下海经商，成立了北京尚古世界文化发展有限公司，现已成为国内最专业的古生物化石进口公司及修复公司之一。

每一块化石都仿佛在诉说着一段古老的故事，让我们得以穿越时空，与亘古生命共舞。让我们跟随王老师一起探寻亘古生命，寻找真实的自我。

Each fossil seems to tell an ancient story, allowing us to travel through time and space and dance with ancient life. Let’s follow Mr. Wang to explore ancient life and find our true selves.

王老师从两方面进行了分享。一方面是关于古生物学，古生物学是研究什么的，与我们有什么关系呢？另一方面是分享王老师的个人经历。

Mr. Wang shared from two aspects. One is about paleontology, what is the study of paleontology and how is it related to us? On the other hand, it is to share Mr. Wang’s personal experience.

什么是古生物学？古生物学是研究什么的呀？古生物学，地质学分支学科，是生命科学和地球科学的交叉科学。既是生命科学中唯一具有历史科学性质的时间尺度的一个独特分支，研究生命起源、发展历史、生物宏观进化模型、节奏与作用机制等历史生物学的重要基础和组成部分；又是地球科学的一个分支，研究保存在地层中的生物遗体、遗迹、化石，用以确定地层的顺序、时代，了解地壳发展的历史，推断地质史上水陆分布、气候变迁和沉积矿产形成与分布的规律。

What is paleontology? What is the study of paleontology? Paleontology, a sub-discipline of geology, is a cross-science of life sciences and earth sciences. It is a unique branch of the life sciences with the only time scale of historical science, studying the origin of life, development history, biological macro-evolutionary models, rhythms and mechanisms of action and other important foundations and components of historical biology; it is also a branch of earth sciences, the study of biological remains, relics, fossils preserved in the stratum, used to determine the order of the stratum, the age of the earth’s crust to understand the development of the history of the earth’s crust, to deduce the distribution of land and water in geological history, climate change and sedimentary minerals, and the distribution of sedimentary minerals. It is used to determine the order and age of strata, to understand the history of the development of the earth’s crust, and to deduce the laws of the distribution of land and water, climate change, and the formation and distribution of sedimentary minerals in the geological history.

在介绍完什么是古生物学后，王老师给大家介绍了古生物学和我们的关系。

After introducing what paleontology is, Mr. Wang introduced the relationship between paleontology and us.

在对生命的探索旅途中，古生物学扮演着重要的角色。它帮助我们揭示了地球历史的神秘面纱，让我们更深入地理解生命的演变过程。

Paleontology plays an important role in the journey of discovery of life. It has helped us to unravel the mysteries of the Earth’s history and given us a deeper understanding of the evolution of life.

随后，王老师给我们介绍了一系列远古化石，以及化石背后的故事。从古老而又神秘的牙行刺，到人类发现的第一种长有羽毛的恐龙——原始中华龙鸟，再到古人类……王老师从化石发掘到化石修复再到化石研究一一为我们展开讲述。通过化石研究我们了解到生命的演化、地球的变化等。

Mr. Wang then introduced us to a series of ancient fossils and the stories behind them. From the ancient and mysterious tooth row spines, to the first feathered dinosaur discovered by mankind, the primitive Chinese dragon bird, and then to the ancient human beings …… Mr. Wang tells us from fossil excavation to fossil restoration to fossil research. Through fossil research, we learned about the evolution of life and the changes of the earth.

各类化石的发现和研究不仅让我们更好地了解历史，更激发了我们对自然的好奇心。它教会我们要勇于探索、勇于面对未知，培养我们的科学精神。

The discovery and study of various types of fossils not only gives us a better understanding of history, but also stimulates our curiosity about nature. It teaches us to explore and face the unknown, and develops our scientific spirit.

随后王老师为我们分享了他的故事。从生物竞赛到保送，从北国江城到北大医学部，从北中医到创办自己的公司……一路上，王老师始终在探索、发现真实的自我，倾听内心的声音，不懈的奋斗。

Then Mr. Wang shared his story for us. From Biology Competition to Guaranteed Admission, from Jilin City to Peking University Medical School, from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine to founding his own company …… Along the way, Mr. Wang has always been exploring and discovering his true self, listening to his inner voice and struggling tirelessly.

讲座最后王老师寄语同学们都能够拥有一颗勇敢的心，去追寻自己的梦想。无论遇到什么困难，都要坚持下去，相信自己一定能够实现自己的目标。正如古生物化石一样，你们的梦想也隐藏在内心深处，等待着被发掘和实现。让我们一起努力，去创造一个充满奇迹和无限可能的未来！

At the end of the lecture, Mr. Wang wished that all students could have a brave heart to pursue their dreams. No matter what difficulties you encounter, you have to persevere and believe that you will be able to realize your goals. Just like ancient fossils, your dreams are hidden deep inside your heart, waiting to be discovered and realized. Let’s work together to create a future full of miracles and infinite possibilities!
