Academic Honors｜Students from THISDL have achieved another success in the science and technology competition and entered the national finals!

近日，备受瞩目的爻星球科技北京赛区比赛在房山落下帷幕。来自北京各区的优秀学生团队齐聚一堂，经过激烈角逐，我校多支队伍获得比赛大奖，其中初中组有两支队伍获得一等奖，分列初中组第2名和第4名，一支队伍获得三等奖，小学组有一支队伍获得一等奖，两支队伍获得二等奖，一支队伍获得三等奖。
Recently, the much-anticipated Yao Planet Technology Beijing Competition came to a close in Fangshan. Outstanding student teams from all districts of Beijing gathered together, and after a fierce competition, a number of our teams won the grand prize of the tournament, including two teams in the middle school group won the first prize, one 2nd place and another one 4th place, a team won the third prize, and one team in the elementary school group won the first prize, two teams won the second prize, and one team won the third prize.

Let’s take an in-depth look at this unique event, the Planet Yao Tournament. This is a comprehensive science and technology event with the mysterious and unpredictable “Planet Yao” as the background. In this challenging and unknown field, the contestants need to give full play to their scientific and technological knowledge and hands-on ability, as well as teamwork and problem-solving ability. They need to cope with a variety of complex and changing situations encountered after entering the “Yao Planet” within a limited time, which is not only a test of their knowledge and skills, but also an exercise of their willpower and teamwork ability.

这是一场智慧与耐力的碰撞，孩子们在掌握比赛所需的科学知识的同时，还需要付出大量的时间和精力进行训练。每个周日的下午，他们都会放弃休息时间，投入到紧张而高强度的训练中。虽然疲惫不堪，但他们从未放弃过，始终坚持着磨练技巧、突破极限。这样的拼搏精神持续了整整六周，让人为之动容。
It’s a clash of wits and endurance, the children in mastering the scientific knowledge required for the game at the same time, but also need to pay a lot of time and energy for training. Every Sunday afternoon, they would give up their rest time and devote themselves to intense and high-intensity training. Although exhausted, they never gave up and always insisted on honing their skills and pushing their limits. Such fighting spirit lasted for six whole weeks, which was heartwarming.

然而，真正的挑战还在后面。比赛的两天，对孩子们来说是一场严峻的考验。他们需要在清晨不到6点的时候就起床，大部分孩子甚至来不及吃早饭。在学校集合后，他们乘坐学校专属大巴，从海淀最北端一路颠簸到房山，车程长达一个多小时。然而，尽管旅途艰辛，但孩子们脸上的笑容却从未消失过。
However, the real challenge was yet to come. The two days of the competition were a tough test for the children. They needed to wake up at less than 6 a.m. in the morning, and most of the children didn’t even have time to eat breakfast. After gathering at the school, they took the school’s exclusive bus for a bumpy ride of more than an hour from the northernmost tip of Haidian to Fangshan. However, despite the arduous journey, the smiles on the children’s faces never disappeared.

After arriving at the venue, they were faced with a six-hour waiting period. This was not a simple race, but a severe test of determination and perseverance. However, the children were not intimidated by these difficulties, and they met the challenge with the fullest spirit and eventually played perfectly. Their performance was not only remarkable, but also won the respect and appreciation of all.

从始至终，孩子们都保持着积极向上的态度和不屈不挠的精神。他们的拼搏精神值得所有同学学习，更值得老师们和家长们给予他们最高的赞誉。他们是未来的希望，是祖国的骄傲，他们的精彩表现将永远铭刻在我们的心中。
From the beginning to the end, the children maintained a positive attitude and indomitable spirit.
