探索科技，逐梦未来 | 清香首届Tech Day圆满落幕

2025年8月31日，来自校内外的六十多名师生欢聚一堂，迎来了清香首届Tech Day活动。我们敬爱的辛颖校长和外方校长Mr. Holder亲临鼓舞，为同学们带来了极大的精神动力。
On August 31, 2025, over sixty students and teachers from within and outside our school community gathered together to celebrate the inaugural THISDL Tech Day. Our esteemed Principal, MS. Cynthia, and our international Principal, Mr. Holder, were present to offer their encouragement, providing tremendous motivation for all the students.
上午的开幕仪式中，主持人Jill Zou向大家详细阐述了Tech Day的创办初衷和愿景。随后，Mr. Holder发表了热情洋溢的讲话，强调了学校”培养美好未来的创造者”的育人使命，并赞赏由学生自主策划的Tech Day完美体现了”探索和实现自身的可能性”的校训精神。他鼓励同学们在3D打印、机器人等多元化工作坊和跨学科主题的创作中勇敢创新，在协作实践中收获成长。
The morning’s opening ceremony began with host Jill Zou detailing the vision and founding principles behind Tech Day. Following this, Mr. Holder delivered an enthusiastic address, emphasizing the school’s mission of “educating the creators of a better future.” He praised the student-led Tech Day as a perfect embodiment of the school’s spirit to “explore and realize our potential,” and encouraged students to innovate boldly in the diverse workshops—from 3D printing to robotics—and in their cross-disciplinary themed projects, highlighting the growth found in collaborative practice.
紧接着，五个工作坊（Workshop）的导师们依次登台，介绍了各自工作坊的特色内容：
- 3D打印：将脑海中的想法变成现实中的模型
- 激光切割：实现精准切割，激发无限创意
- Arduino：探索开源硬件的无限可能
- 大疆Robomaster：体验机器人竞技的魅力
- 人工智能机械臂：揭开智能机械世界的神秘面纱
Next, instructors from the five core workshops took the stage to introduce their focus areas:
- 3D Printing: Transform ideas from your mind into physical models.
- Laser Cutting: Achieve precise cuts to unleash infinite creativity.
- Arduino: Explore the limitless possibilities of open-source hardware.
- DJI Robomaster: Experience the excitement of competitive robotics.
- AI Robotic Arm: Demystify the world of intelligent machinery.
主持人Jill Zou同学随后登台，介绍了分组制定解决方案的七个主题：
- Communication 4.0：设计未来通讯工具
- Transportation 4.0：设计未来交通工具或交通系统
- Build the Cycle：为生物工艺废料、工业废料等设计回收系统
- Time Capsule：决定你希望自己或这个时代如何被铭记，并创建一个时间胶囊
- Signal Master：为日常生活设计智能解决方案
- Eco-Warrior：开发解决环境问题的技术
- Cure Crafting：制作改善心理或身体健康的技术
Student host Jill Zou then returned to the stage to introduce the seven challenge themes for the group solution-building activity:
- Communication 4.0: Design a future communication tool.
- Transportation 4.0: Design a future vehicle or transportation system.
- Build the Cycle: Design a recycling system for bio-process or industrial waste.
- Time Capsule: Decide how you wish to be remembered, or how our era should be remembered, and create a time capsule.
- Signal Master: Design an intelligent solution for an everyday problem.
- Eco-Warrior: Develop technology to solve an environmental issue.
- Cure Crafting: Create technology to improve mental or physical wellbeing.
同学们三人一组，围绕这些主题展开了丰富的创意讨论和解决方案设计。
Students formed teams of three and dove into rich, creative discussions to design solutions for these themes.
各种工作坊的体验也非常精彩。在3D打印工作坊，同学们把数字模型变成握在手中的实物；在激光切割区，一块块亚克力板被精准切割成机械零件；在Arduino课上，传感器和代码让硬件拥有了生命；在Robomaster实验室，同学们有了对机器人的新的认识；在机械臂课堂，大家一起探究现代制造业的工业制造手段。
The experiences in the various workshops were also wonderful. In the 3D printing workshop, digital designs became tangible objects held in hand; in the laser cutting area, acrylic sheets were precisely transformed into mechanical parts; in the Arduino sessions, sensors and code brought hardware to life; in the Robomaster lab, students gained a new appreciation for robotics; and in the robotic arm class, everyone investigated the industrial techniques of modern manufacturing.
在下午的Tech Fair中，我们迎来了精彩纷呈的创意解决方案。各个小组在展板上展示着自己的想法，并接受评委们的答辩。现场思维碰撞，创意无限，每个展位前都有同学们和老师们交流讨论的身影。
The afternoon Tech Fair showcased a fantastic array of creative solutions. Each team presented their ideas on display boards and defended them before a panel of judges. The air was electric with meeting of ideas and boundless creativity, with every booth buzzing with discussions between students and teachers.

After keen competition, winners were announced for 14 award categories:
- Future Visionary Award（未来愿景奖）
- Problem Solver Award（问题解决奖）
- User-Friendly Design Award（用户友好设计奖）
- Best Prototype Award（最佳原型奖）
- Technical Mastery Award（技术掌握奖）
- Best Presentation Award（最佳展示奖）
- Most Marketable Idea Award（最具市场价值创意奖）
- Social Impact Award（社会影响奖）
- Funniest Invention Award（最有趣发明奖）
- Young Innovator Award（年轻创新者奖）
- Resilience Award（韧性奖）
- Best Aesthetic Design Award（最佳美学设计奖）
- Surprise Award（惊喜奖）
- Eco-Conscious Award（生态意识奖）
获奖同学们在Black Box剧场领取了证书和对应的奖品，脸上洋溢着自豪和喜悦的笑容。
The award winners received their certificates and prizes in the Black Box theater, their faces beaming with pride and joy.
对于我们这支学生团队来说，首次组织这种能够容纳六七十人的活动，心里不免有些忐忑不安。从活动构思、宣传推广、联系学校各部门，到开幕式策划、工作坊安排、比赛主题设定、活动流程制定等方方面面，都需要我们一点一点地去落实。
For our student team, organizing an event of this scale for sixty-plus people for the first time was a daunting prospect. Every aspect—from conceptualizing the event and promoting it, to liaising with school departments, planning the opening ceremony, arranging workshops, setting competition themes, and designing the schedule—required meticulous attention and effort.
签到表的制作、志愿者招募、工作人员安排、工作坊导师的协调、家长访校参观的需求、同学们中午晚上就餐的安排……每一个环节都需要深思熟虑，哪一项都不能马虎。我们对接了学校餐厅、后勤部门、市场部门、招生办、教务、升学指导、学生发展中心等多个部门，得到了老师们积极的响应和大力的支持。
The logistics were immense: creating sign-in sheets, recruiting volunteers, coordinating staff, liaising with workshop instructors, handling requests from visiting parents, and arranging meals for attendees. Every single detail demanded careful thought. We worked closely with multiple school departments—the cafeteria, logistics, marketing, admissions, academic affairs, university counseling, and student development—and received enthusiastic and tremendous support from the faculty and staff.
要实现上面提到的每一项内容，对于我们这群年轻的小伙伴来说是一个极大的考验，但我们用自己的积极行动证明了：中学生也能组织一场像模像样的大型活动！每一个细节的打磨，每一次困难的克服，都让我们变得更加成熟和自信。
Accomplishing all of this was a significant test for our young team, but our proactive approach proved that high school students are more than capable of organizing a large-scale, professional event! Refining every detail and overcoming each challenge made us more mature and confident.
Tech Ambassadors进行会议组织与工作准备
作为活动的发起者和组织者，我们收获了远超预期的成长和感悟。这次经历让我们真正理解了团队合作的重要性，学会了如何有效地沟通协调，如何在压力下解决问题。比如早上签到时，我们发现了一些同学因为不能按时出席而导致预先分好的小组出现部分学生落单的情况。这一点我们进行了深刻的反思：在以后的活动中，我们尽量在活动现场分组，从而让每位同学都尽可能地加入到适合自己的组别。我们希望以后能够争取更多这样的活动机会，让自己在一次次历练中不断提升。
As the initiators and organizers, we gained far more in personal growth and insight than we had anticipated. This experience gave us a genuine understanding of the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and problem-solving under pressure. For instance, during morning check-in, we noticed that some last-minute absences left a few students without their pre-assigned groups. This is something we have reflected on deeply; for future events, we will aim to form groups on-site to ensure every student can join a team that suits them. We hope to secure more opportunities like this, allowing us to continuously improve through experience.
在此，我们要特别感谢学校辛颖校长和Mr. Holder的大力支持，感谢学校各位辛勤付出的老师们为活动提供的全方位保障。正是在清香这片充满鼓励与包容的校园中，我们一直深受“探索和实现自身的可能性”的校训的熏陶。最后，我们还要感谢那个努力拼搏的自己，和这支团结友爱的团队——没有每个人的付出，就没有这次活动的成功！
We would like to extend our special thanks to Principal Cynthia and Mr. Holder for their strong support, and to all the dedicated teachers and staff who provided comprehensive support for the event. It is within THISDL’s encouraging and inclusive environment, constantly inspired by the motto to “explore and realize our potential,” that such an event is possible. Finally, we thank our hardworking selves and this united, supportive team—without everyone’s contribution, this event would not have been a success!
清香首届Tech Day虽然已经落下帷幕，但我们探索科技、逐梦未来的脚步不会停止。期待下次活动再次相聚，见证更多创新思维的碰撞与绽放！
Although the inaugural THISDL Tech Day has concluded, our journey to explore technology and dream of the future will never stop. We look forward to gathering again at the next event to witness more meeting and blossoming of innovative ideas!
